Q: Will other people see who I am or have access to my contact information?
A: No, all the information you provide for the survey will be completely confidential. No one will be able to see your information. PLAN does not have access to your information and cannot add it to their database.
Q: How long will the survey take to fill out?
A: The survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete.
Q: What does it mean when you say that everyone will have access to the information (open source)?
A: Open source means that the data will be available to the public: searchable and sortable in an on-line format.
Q: How will I know when the information is available and how I can access it if you don’t have my information after the survey is done?
A: In the spring of 2011, the results from the survey be availbale to the public on the website www.survey.familytalks.ca
Q: What is happening in FamilyTalks after the survey is done? Is that the only goal of the program?
A: Once the survey phase is completed, the data will be analysed. The next step will be to hold online focus groups where the results of the survey will be further discussed. All information gathered via these 2 steps will be analyzed and made public in the spring of 2011.
Goals:
- Reach a broad spectrum of families within the disability community by partnering with a wide range of organizations.
- Identify the priorities within the disability community.
- Use the information obtained to be proactive and solution oriented.
Q: Who is spearheading this project?
A: Family Talks is a project initiative that is working with PLAN and partnering with many other disability organizations.
Q: When can I take the survey?
A: The survey will be availbale online at www.survey.familytalks.ca as of November 1st, 2011.
Q: Can I forward this survey to a friend/ family member/ colleague?
A: Yes! We encourage you to send this survey to all of your contact within the disability community.
Q: Is this survey being distributed throughout Canada?
A: At this time, we are focusing on feedack from within BC.
